Thankfully, Delhi has as many as 10 amazing flea markets to satisfy all the fashion cravings of people in the city.

1. Sarojini Nagar Market

Well, we must say this is our favorite flea market in the city as there is very little that you will not find here. From beauty items to Jeans & dresses and from table covers to even electronic items, everything has comfortably found its place in the Sarojini Nagar Market and therefore it is a paradise for true-blue shoppers. Bargaining is key to shop at Sarojini Nagar Market which houses shops that sell rejected import goods (in fabulous condition) at throw-away prices.

2. Sadar Bazaar

Chaos’ is one word that aptly defines the Sadar Bazaar market in Old Delhi which is the best wholesale market for household goods, cosmetics, fashion accessories, sports goods, and toys. Do not expect an organized structure of shopping at the Sadar Bazaar because anything goes here, right from animals on the streets to hawkers who move around to sell. The best way to score good deals at Sadar Bazaar is to haggle and close the deal on the spot rather than strolling around to shop for later.

3. Karol Bagh

One of the oldest flea markets of the city, Karol Bagh is traditional yet a very modern market of the city. This shopping hub offers shoppers the best of garments & apparel shopping as well as electronic shopping for the new age customers today. Head to Gaffar Market for the low-cost tech- mobiles, gizmos, laptops, and other things while the Ajmal Khan Road Market is where you will find the most amazing outfits and designer wears.

4. Janpath

In the middle of the city, lies the Janpath market which is very close to the Connaught Place. The market is very popular with tourists and foreigners owing to the quirky and affordable fashion products on the offer here. From Bags to Jeans to Shoes to Junk jewelry, the market has everything. Close to Janpath is also the Tibetan market which sells artifacts like Buddhist gongs, bamboo-shoot pickles & little metal Buddhas, and other decor items too.

5. Palika Bazaar

Palika Bazar is perhaps the only flea market in the city that is underground and is completely air-conditioned. Thus, making it the place to be at in the hot and horrid summers of Delhi. The Bazar is all about quick shopping and is more organized than other markets of the capital. Most things here are sold at a fixed price and most sellers here won’t budge than what’s mentioned as the price for any goods. However, the market is the perfect place for budget shopping of electronics, garments, bags, and shoes.

6. Lajpat Nagar Central Market

For anyone who can’t go to INA for shopping at Sarojini Nagar Market, we have an alternative for you here which is the Lajpat Nagar Central Market. Much like Sarojini, you can do all sorts of shopping at Lajpat Nagar market, right from apparel to cosmetics, to jewelry to even household items. However, where Lajpat Nagar has a slight edge over Sarojini is that fabrics for clothes and floral designs are much better in Lajpat. Also, the area houses some of the best eateries across the city which makes shopping here a delicious experience as well. The market is closed on Mondays.

7. Delhi Haat

Another popular shopping destination for tourists and foreigners, Delhi Haat is one place you should come to in order to score fabulous deals on Indian handicrafts. Each of the states in the country has a stall here wherein art & crafts items from the state are sold. What makes the place a more festive affair is the presence of local canteens from the states that offer a culinary treat. Delhi Haat is open all days a week.

8. GK Market

The Greater Kailash flea markets are situated in M-block and N-Block of the area and are known for selling costumes, jewelry, casual wear, traditional items, chic footwear, and other things too.  We should inform you that the GK Market is comparatively expensive than the other flea markets considering the crowd here is more high-end. However, the items sold here too are slightly better in terms of value and durability.

The GK Market is closed on Tuesdays.

9. Chandni Chowk

Chandni Chowk is one of the best shopping destinations for people as one can score the best of traditional dresses at the most affordable prices from here. It is called the Wedding shopping heaven by the residents of the city for this reason only. Inside the narrow lanes of the area, you can find anything- from stylish bags to dresses with heavy embroideries that will cost a bomb in retail outlets. Additionally, there is also the famous Paratha Wali Gali here to satisfy your hunger pangs if too much shopping retrenches you.

10. Khan Market

Khan Market, established in 1951, and named in honor of freedom fighter Khan Abdul Jabbar Khan, brother of Abdul Ghaffar Khan. It was ranked as the most expensive retail location in India in 2007. In 2019, it was rated as the world’s 20th most expensive retail high street by real estate firm.
